Sis. Empress Dr. Phile' Chionesu (Empress Chi) is the visionary, architect, and President General of the original and historic Million Woman March (MWM) that took place on October 25, 1997,in Philadelphia, PA, bringing an estimated 2.5 million females of African descent from all walks of life and parts of the world. Now in its 22 year journey of nonstop self-determination work and mission for real Justice and Freedom/Liberation for Africa's original Peoples, MWM has evolved and is now the first global Movement for Africana females worldwide. The Million Woman March Universal Movements is being established throughout the Diaspora and one of its new operational components known as the "A Million Black Women Rising' Federation, a multi-level independent Sisterhood, Community nd Nation building organ/entity was officiate as a part of the MWM 22 year anniversary commemoration on October 25, 2019.
